Description
Birch wood burns quickly and brightly and is ideal for the “atmosphere stoker”. In addition, the wood is suitable for any kind of stove but not really useful for larger open fires. Birch wood is best lit with kindling and firelighters (Swiss method of lighting). Birch has very nice flames and a nice crackling sound due to the bark. Birch is a softer type of wood which makes it very easy to light and combines this with a quick release of heat. The pieces of birch wood are normally split, approx. 25cm in length. Birch firewood works best when using at least 3 blocks of firewood at a time in your Stokem. The birch wood we supply is guaranteed to be kiln-dried. All blocks are mould and pest free. The delivery of the birch wood comes in a wooden crate, in which the wood is tightly stacked. Unfortunately, the crate cannot be returned. Our customers often process the crate afterwards as kindling.
